you people are insane. what do you think you'll gain but pushing your luck with the red light?

my morning, beautiful and sunny, was interrupted by a huge crash. i ran to the window and an SUV lay on its side in the middle of the street, glass and chaos everywhere, a row of parked cars no longer just innocent bystanders.

everyone seems fine, don't worry. they crawled out of their respective cars obviously shaken but entirely in one piece. the scene is no less frightening, though. i can only imagine the brief moments of terror those people faced. and brief moments of terror it's quite likely they caused.

what would they have gained if they had run the light unscathed? since Fell Street's lights are timed, they would have been stopped at the next light and gained a mere city block for the danger they caused. is that worth it? to anyone who says, "oh, i think i can make it": is it worth it?

and even if you make it to your destination on-time and win the day because of the light running, did you even think the day won was worth potential life lost?

it's not worth it. you would have learned that if you'd killed someone. your family and friends would have learned that if you'd killed yourself. so be aware a light may change, be wary of those yellow lights, slow down.
