we got a new car! Volvo S40 2.4i, black with black interior, moonroof, loud stereo, faux wood trim, great car. love it. it's hers but i help pay for it. so it's ours. but it's in her name. but i have a key. so it's ours.
ah, relationship limbo. ah-cha-cha-cha!
world, i want to hide away from you. i do not like your pressures and expectations. a cabin in the woods sounds nice. or maybe i'll learn to sail. but then there are the pirates. oh, the pirates.
not feeling like being a part of society today. :(

Re: The Saturday street closure in Golden Gate Park
It's a park, not a parking lot. See attached Sunday street closure for reference.

got last minute tickets to the Sharks' playoff hockey game and it was fantastic. you know me as the baseball fan, but occasionally i like a good hockey game, especially when it comes Stanley Cup time. didn't think there'd be any way i'd get tickets since a) it's playoffs, b) the series was tied 1-1, and c) San Jose fans are quite dedicated.
i mentioned to Corinne over the weekend that it'd be really fun to go but it would never happen. then, poof, out of the blue, her Jason emails her to offer up two extra tickets. he's Canadian, and thus a rabid hockey fan, and had bought four tickets as soon as they were available assuming he'd someone to use them.
that'd be us.
fantastic.
raucous good game and quite a drubbing by the Sharks. from what i learned from Jason (i'm still a little clueless), the Predators are a smaller, faster team who'd benefitted from several rule changes. but the Sharks dominated them, nearly tripling their shots on goal in the first period. quite a good time.
series could end tomorrow. (sound of Jaws music...)
hiya.
not keeping up with my journal at all, am i? well, what did you expect? my past behavior any measure, you should have known better. but here i am now. so ... nyah.
